Love Without Language | My First Teacher
Chapter 1
My First Teacher
Dr. Elisa Malangone
Welcome back, gorgeous! I’m Dr. Elisa Malangone, and this is Ignite Your Insight. As we begin this first season of Ignite Your Insight, I want to name something important. This podcast isn’t here because I think I can—or should—carry a platform on my own. It’s here because connection matters to me. Real connection. Soul-level connection. My intention is to build conscious rapport first—to create a space where insight unfolds through relationship, not performance. So for this first season, it’s just you and me. No rush. No noise. Just conversation. As this community grows, guests will naturally find their way in—but only after a foundation of report is established. My role here isn’t to convince, impress, or instruct from above. It’s to hold space for re-alignment, self-empowerment, and empathic living—sometimes gently, sometimes quietly, and yes, sometimes like an untethered current.
Dr. Elisa Malangone
The only way I know how to do that is by sharing my own lived experience. So you’ll come to know me not just as a practitioner or teacher, but as a human. A survivor turn thriver. A guide in progress. A humble leader shaped by what I’ve lived, not just what I’ve learned. What has molded me, shifted me, and impacted me deeply matters—because it’s from that place that real connection begins.Today, we’re talking about connection—not the kind that relies on words, but the kind that exists beneath them. The kind you feel before you can explain. The moments when understanding arrives quietly, without needing proof. Some people call it intuition. Some call it empathy.Others call it telepathy. Before anything gets misunderstood, let’s ground this. The word psychic comes from the Greek psychikos, meaning of the soul. So when I talk about telepathy, I’m not talking about something mystical or theatrical. I’m talking about something deeply human—the soul’s natural ability to connect. And my first teacher in this wasn’t a spiritual mentor or a guide. It was my little brother, Stephen.
Chapter 2
The Night Everything Spoke
Dr. Elisa Malangone
Stephen is only twenty-two months younger than me. We were little together—two siblings growing up side by side. When Stephen was an infant, a reaction to medication caused brain damage that permanently changed the course of his life. From that point forward, he was non-verbal and physically disabled. Words were never something he had access to—but presence was.As we grew, something became very clear to the people around us. I seemed to know what Stephen needed without being told. If he was uncomfortable, overstimulated, hungry, in pain, or distressed, I didn’t analyze it—I felt it.There was a quiet understanding between us. Not imagined. Not dramatic. Just steady, loving, and real.People noticed it.They just didn’t know how to explain it.
Dr. Elisa Malangone
There was this one night that crystallized everything—I was around four and a half years old when I woke up suddenly from sleep. And as clearly as I’ve ever known anything, I heard Stephen’s voice in my mind say,“Sissy, I’m cold.”Stephen had never spoken a word in his life.I sat straight up and immediately got out of bed. No fear. No questioning. I went to the linen closet, making enough noise that my mom came out into the hallway, half asleep and confused. When she asked what I was doing, I said it simply:“Stevie told me he’s cold.” My mom and I walked into Stephen’s room with a blanket—and the moment we stepped inside, it was obvious. The room was freezing. After painting, re-opening the heating vent, was over looked.Stephen really was cold.My dad joined us, and in that quiet moment, something shifted. My parents looked at each other, then at me, piecing it together. My mom—who never quite knew what to do with my sensitivity—looked at me with a kind of stunned softness and said,“She knew.”That moment mattered more than anyone realized.
Chapter 3
The Language Beneath Language
Dr. Elisa Malangone
That night became a blueprint for my life.Everything I do now—mediumship, intuition, hypnotherapy, coaching, speaking—traces back to that simple truth revealed in the hush of the night.Stephen, who never spoke a word, taught me something extraordinary:love doesn’t need language. The deepest forms of connection don’t rely on words. They live beneath them.
Chapter 4
The Soul Knows
Dr. Elisa Malangone
People often ask me if I’ve listened to The Telepathy Tapes. And I always smile—not because it isn’t fascinating, but because for me, this wasn’t something I learned through research.I lived it.What I appreciate about that work is that it’s giving language and legitimacy to something humanity has quietly known for a very long time. It’s helping bridge science with remembrance. While researchers ask whether telepathy can be proven, I want to offer something simpler:soul-level connection was never meant to be rare. It’s part of our design.
Dr. Elisa Malangone
I’m not pointing to something extraordinary or hard to reach. I’m talking about a way of knowing that’s already part of us — the awareness that moves through us before words, before explanation. This has guided my entire life. You don’t need words to be heard. You don’t need proof to be seen. You don’t need permission to feel. Intuition is simply the language of connection — the way we recognize one another beyond the surface. Telepathy isn’t about reading minds or sending messages. It’s about remembering that connection has always existed, even when we forgot how to listen.
Chapter 5
Navigating the Gift
Dr. Elisa Malangone
Not everyone is comfortable with this level of sensitivity. My family loved Stephen deeply—and still does. My mom is fiercely protective of him and his privacy, even now. I share this story with respect, not for attention. But there came a point when I had to understand something important:the sensitivity I was asked to hide, the intuition I was encouraged to soften, and the knowing I was told was imagination—were actually the ways my soul communicated. That sensitivity wasn’t a flaw.It was a strength.
Chapter 6
The Christmas Reminder
Dr. Elisa Malangone
And just this past Christmas, I was reminded of that strength in a way I didn’t expect.I was at a bell concert at a church — one of those beautiful, nostalgic, echoing spaces where the music rises into the rafters. I stepped out to use the restroom, thinking I’d slip back in before the finale. As I was heading back up the stairs, I saw him.A sweet young man named Cameron was coming down with his caregiver. Nonverbal. Bright-eyed. Full of feeling.
Dr. Elisa Malangone
He saw me — and everything in him lit up.His caregiver began apologizing immediately. “I’m so sorry, he gets very interested in people sometimes…”And without thinking, I smiled and said,“Oh no… I understand this quite beautifully.”Cameron walked straight toward me, grabbed my hand, and gently began leading me downstairs — into the basement of the church — toward a piano. He started mimicking music sounds.Little bursts of melody.Excited tones. Then he hugged me.And then — this is the part that melted me to my core— he took my face into his hands. Palms against my cheeks. Looked directly into my eyes. And giggled. Not a polite giggle. An electric, delighted, soul-recognizing giggle.I remember thinking,I’m missing Jingle Bells.I’m missing the finale upstairs. And then just as quickly,No… this is exactly where I’m meant to be.We sat together for a long time.
Dr. Elisa Malangone
He held my hands and began tracing my palms with his fingers. Slowly. Intentionally. He would trace a line, stop on a knuckle, look up at me — and then burst into this invigorated sound of joy, like we had just shared a secret. His caregiver leaned in and whispered,“He never really does this. He says hello… but he usually moves on.”He didn’t move on.He couldn’t leave my side. And there was no language. No explanation. No performance. No proving.Just recognition.Something beautifully profound happened in that basement of a church at Christmastime — and I don’t even have vocabulary for it.It wasn’t mystical. It wasn’t dramatic. It was familiar.
Dr. Elisa Malangone
It felt like Stephen. It felt like being four and a half years old again. It felt like that quiet blueprint activating in real time. When I finally walked back upstairs — long after the concert had ended — my friend looked at me and said,“Cameron fully embraced your presence as you were his.”And I said,“What a gift.”Here it is — Christmas. The season of language and lyrics and announcements and celebration —and the most sacred exchange I experienced happened without a single word. What a gift it is to be reminded that communication goes deeper than conversation. What a gift to know that the touch I was once told to soften…is still alive.Still fluent.Still human.
Dr. Elisa Malangone
Okay, let’s get practical. If you’re thinking, “That’s lovely, Elisa, but how the heck do I tune into this for myself?”… you’re not alone. Here’s what’s helped me (and I’ve watched it work for others too). First, try quieting distractions—yep, that means putting down the phone, even if it’s just for a minute. Then, lead with your heart. Literally: breathe into your chest, soften, and let yourself feel. Trust your first instinct, that flicker of knowing before your mind jumps in to analyze. Practice presence—notice the texture of a moment, the energy in a room, the weight of your own mood. And here’s my favorite: send silent love. Picture it, direct it to someone you care about…and just see what happens. I promise, these are muscles you already have. You might just need to wake them up.
Chapter 7
The Message Beneath the Message
Dr. Elisa Malangone
Ever felt someone’s mood shift across the room? Or maybe you dreamed about a friend out of nowhere, and then they called you the next day? I know, I know—it feels small, almost easy to dismiss. But these are the real moments, where the message beneath the message comes through. This isn’t just coincidence or wishful thinking; it’s our energetic systems syncing up. Like tuning forks, right? You can feel someone’s unspoken needs, hopes, or even pain. When you notice it—celebrate it. Give yourself a pat on the back. Our culture might call it “being sensitive,” but I say it’s natural coherence, a capacity we all share. Let it be evidence that your inner guidance is working, quietly guiding you on.
Chapter 8
Everyday Soul-Level Synchronicities
Dr. Elisa Malangone
Just the other day, I got this sudden nudge—text your friend now. Turns out, she was having one of those days where everything felt heavy, and she just needed someone to remind her she wasn’t alone. I mean, how often does that happen to you? You think of someone, reach out, and discover it was the perfect moment. That’s not just luck—it’s synchronicity, and it’s soul-level. Those little intuitive “hits” show up all the time: a song that pops up with a lyric you needed, a chance encounter with an old friend, those “out of the blue” knowings. My tip? Start a journal, jot down these synchronicities. Even the small ones. It’ll help you see how much your inner guidance is already supporting you, how you really can trust your knowing.
Chapter 9
The Science and Spirit of Telepathy
Dr. Elisa Malangone
Now let’s geek out a little, because science is catching up to what spirit has always whispered. Did you know the electromagnetic field of the heart is measurable, even by modern standards? I’m a huge fan of Dr. Rollin McCraty and the HeartMath Institute—their research on heart coherence shows that what we feel can actually shift our energy field, and even influence others. Our hearts really do “talk,” sending out information. Scientific or spiritual—it’s all communication. So, every time you sense someone’s feeling or send a prayer or loving thought, that isn’t just wishful thinking. That’s energy, measurable and meaningful. We’re finally starting to bridge the gap between what can be measured by machines and what can only be felt by soul.
Chapter 10
Your Invitation to Practice
Dr. Elisa Malangone
So here’s my loving nudge for you this week: try a telepathy experiment. Send a wave of love—silent and sincere—to a friend or family member. See if they reach out, or if you get some kind of response. Play with it. Journal what you notice. And for the truly brave souls, set the intention with a friend: “Hey, let’s send each other some love at noon and see what happens.” However small, these moments will remind you: you’re already fluent in this soul language. You just need to remember, not learn. Trust those nudges, honor that knowing, and let your heart lead—one insight at a time. And if this way of connecting speaks to you—if you feel drawn to explore your own insight more deeply—I’d love to continue the conversation with you.
